Wake-up Session: Chair Yoga

June 14th | 09:00 – 10:00 CET (GMT+2)

Workshop

Chair yoga is for everyone, for the people who have never tried yoga before, for people who might think ‘I am not that flexible’, for people who are recovering from an injury or have reduced mobility, in office set-up, for seniors and not only…so, whether you are a JCI member or senator, what we are trying to say is that chair yoga is for you.
Yog in Sanskrit means union, connection of the mind, body and spirit. It offers a myriad of benefits, including improved mental state, increased flexibility or weight loss.
Therefore, on Sunday morning, we are going to connect with ourselves and together, we will tap into the magic of yoga through postures, breath work and mindfulness.
Props required: 1 * chair with no armrests ideally, such as the ones below, regular or folding.

Work Language: English

Laura Enache

Yoga Teacher | JCI Dublin Member

I am a JCI Dublin member and I was fortunate to join the organisation back in 2012 and even more fortunate to have had numerous learning experiences and to meet absolutely amazing people though different roles I held on a local, national as well as international level.
But beyond any titles in JCI or otherwise, I am a human being like everyone else, who has discovered great wisdom and joy in dancing, in yoga and in meditation.
Last year I went to Rishikesh in India to do a yoga teacher training course, and perhaps one my greatest learnings had been that ‘yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self’ and it is really comforting to listen to your inner self.
